about
This song was recorded in 2009. It was written and recorded on the spot and spawned the idea of Spotlights.
We will be playing shows and recording new material in late 2014.
Glad to finally be bringing this project to life.

Guidance was the first album I ever heard from Russian Circles. I've never heard anything like it before.
It's the kind of music you lay down on your couch or bed or whatever and close your eyes to and just let your mind wander off for a bit. Sven Hüster

A good band to just mellow out with. It fits perfectly in the background of many things. I recommend if only you are a patient listener who won't expect things of a given song, but rather let it go where it goes.
My all time favorite Pelican song would have to be Final Breath, from What We All Come To Need. Brian Rossini
This DC shoegaze group work like fog, bringing in ephemeral melodic layers that swirl together to become something surprisingly heavy. Bandcamp New & Notable May 23, 2018
Blood Relative is Publicist's latest post-punk salvo from the Forgive Yourself LP, steered by Zachary Lipez's unnerving baritone. Bandcamp New & Notable Dec 17, 2015
An tempestuous post-rock journey inspired by the existential threat of climate exchange, "Triumph & Disaster" overflows with grace and grit. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 9, 2019

Very good stuff. Russian circles is a band that creates interesting music, a true musical trip. A lot of ambiances. All their albums are great. My favourites are "enter", "blood year", "empros" and "station". On this one Milano and quartered are fucking heavy. And it's what I need to hear! johanmasson
